TripleFast Middle East Ltd is searching for an experienced CAD & Technical Contract Review Engineer to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for the preparation of CAD drawings, reviewing purchase orders, customer specifications and verifying the requirements for an order in terms of the labour, equipment and materials required. You should have a background in mechanical engineering, a good eye for detail, and advanced mathematical skills.
Job responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings based on design specifications and technical input.
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications to produce accurate layouts.
- Collaborate with Sales/QC/Technical departments understand drawing requirements.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Maintain organized files of drawings and ensure version control.
- Update and modify drawings to reflect design changes or markups.
- Assist in the preparation of drawing packages for client submittals or manufacturing.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid design conflicts.
- Support the development of bill of materials (BOM) and technical documentation when required.
- Responsible for checking Purchase order, BOM, studies and interprets drawing, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Noting any special requirements on Purchase order or information that would be required by ERP team (if required/ if any doubts).
- Translates the orders received from the Customer / Sales to what is understood and required, to indicate the process, machines, materials, required operations and all other information required in fulfilling the job.
- To maximize material efficiency, to ensure engineering effectiveness in the manufacture of customer’s products, supervising and managing Projects.
- Communicate with Supervisors, Production Control, Q.C. Department and other shop personnel to resolve production, manufacturing and Quality issues,
- Ensure all necessary drawings, specifications and special instructions are entered to ensure manufacture and production of quality parts on time.
- Suggests whether to purchase the item or to fabricate based on available component, to fulfill a job.
- Order entry, make sure all required information is entered on to Kinetic (ERP Software) in compliance with customer requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
- To ensure the machine is capable of completing the job.
- To define the exact materials requirement or something that would be of an equivalent.
- To define the appropriate steps in completing the job. This includes re-engineering of materials as required, to achieve the customer requirements with the least cost spent in conjunction with GM’s and TM.
- Check stock and liaise with Stock Purchasing and Special’s Purchasing

Required experience and qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical engineering
- Engineering Material knowledge
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in reading, drafting and understanding mechanical drawings is essential.
- Work experience in Tool Room/Machine shop/Fasteners field preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office and Excel.
